1. What does Bitzer not mean by “rhetorical situation”? In other words, how does his view differ from past views that readers might compare to his?
Blitzer believes that the characteristics of Rhetorical Situation are different then other writing styles. He involves people, audiences, speakers, conflicts into his writng, not "situations", like typical writers. Blitzer believes persuasions, arguments, debates should be the basis of ideas. He would rather get people activly involved, ratyher then makeing the particiapte like a typical writer.

2. What does Bitzer mean by “rhetorical situation”?
Blitzer describes Rhetorical situation as how things should be described. He wants to know anything and everything about the situattion. Therefore, I think he means that "Rhetorical Situation" is the background information of the idea. The backgroudn information probvides the materials nessicary to help make a persuasive argument.

1. Explain what “exigence” is. Give your own example of an exigence someone could respond to in writing.
Exigence is a demand. The fishing expedition that Blitzer describes is an exigenc. IT is demanded that fish be successfully caught. If he didnt catch any fish, then all the work put into getting ready to go fishing would be a waste. My example of an Exigence is when my dad tries to fix things on his own. He is to stubborn to take it to a shop or to call a repair man because they take to long and cost alot of money, so he thereofre convinces himself he can fix it. the exigence is my dad want to fix things himself because they get done on time and we pay less money to fix it.
