1. What is the writer trying to find out more about through their research (what research question guides her work)?

She is trying to find out how student reflect themselves sin their school writing. The author wants to see if professor make an impact on a student.

2. How does this author collect the data she needs to answer her question?

She conducts a study with a small, religious-affiliated, liberal arts college, St. Augustine college. When she was there she spoke to students and also observed classes.

3. What sort of genres do you see your peers using as forms of “self-representation”?

i see my peers using different types of clothes, and material items to make a self representation of themselves. many people where certain thing sot define what they are or where they come from.

1. What is the writer trying to find out more about through their research (what research question guides his work)?
The writer is trying to find out more about music and its purpose. The research question that guies his work is " what is the function of music?"

2. What sort of texts or sources does the author quote from to build his argument?
The other quotes from many musicians who have preformed before. He realizes they are tryiong to establish authenticity within their music.

3. In what ways do you see others around you attempting to establish their “authenticity”?
I feel that many people try to establish theiur own authenticity by trying to be different. When your ina mall and you see the kid walking with a huge mohawk, that's someone trying to estblish his own authenticity. I beleive that a person can establish authenticity by just being themselves and excepting, even when noone else excepts it.
